Easy Street and Roller proudly present ‘EASY LEAGUE’ – an independent inline hockey league, focussing on engaging new and developing players.
In our first year, starting in April 2024, we were thrilled to see so many new players join in and give it a go- the number of players consistently growing all the way through until our last session in December.
Our goal from the start has always been for inline hockey in Western Australia to grow and flourish - and we provide a fun and friendly avenue for new and existing players of all ages, and all skill levels, to get playing!
We are big believers in that the best way to learn how to play is by playing. You don't learn how to make a cake by cracking an egg over and over, and you don't learn to play hockey by running one drill over and over.
Hockey drills and technique breakdowns are a warm-up, a chance to learn something and try it out with guidance from our coaches, and sometimes learning from your fellow players, but the magic happens when you're using it in a game, and understanding the 'how' and 'why' of each skill you build.
Every session is a game, encouraging giving it a go and playing as a team.
Our league is a huge opportunity for new and existing players of Perth. Easy League is not a club, we're a league focussing on building the sport and supporting the community and clubs as a whole.
We are extremely thankful for Proto Design and Project Services, for their generous sponsorship allowing us to provide 10 full sets of loaner equipment for new players, so they can safely and easily try out the game.
We are also grateful to be affiliated with Skate Victoria, the governing and organising body for skating in Victoria, who also provides membership services to clubs and providers Australia-wide. They provide easy, low cost insurance for all players, while supporting all roller sport disciplines and facilitating incredible growth, structure and culture for everyone involved.
